3D art can go to hell

Shit, I have no life at all. It’s the midterm break and guess what? I’m in school right now waiting for the computer to render the blasted 3D artwork that I’ve been working on for for the past 2 weeks. The ultimate sad thing is that I have been spending hours on the 3D assignment and the animation run time is a grand total of 8 seconds. How pathetic is that? *whine grumble grumble*

On the bright side, I’m meeting Joel, Leanne, Shawn and Mel in the evening at KAP. Then we’ll be heading to my place to have a mini Anime festival which will last late into the night. However, I’m not so sure whether I can stay up so long. Right now, my eyes are already red and swollen from staring into the monitor. The irony is that I could be having a break right now since I don’t have to do anything but wait for the computer to render the work, but instead I’m on Blogger griping about how my life and computers suck, the sole reason being that I can’t just sit down and do nothing. It’s too boring. *sigh

Grave's Disease

First blog of this month. Actually I’ve got nothing really much to say, except that I’ve been rather busy since school has started. As of last week, I’ve been diagnosed with Grave’s Disease which causes hyper-thyroidism, which explains my weight loss in the month of May (no thanks to CS2103, that is why I will eternally hate that subject). I’m under medication now. Anyway, I’ll back off from the depressing stuff a bit for now. As you can see, my site has been redesigned. Yay. Began renovating a week ago, have been gradually adding bits of graphics to the layout whenever a good idea comes to mind, so the site’s getting quite fleshed out.

So, I guess it’s pretty late now. Going to zzzzzzzzz…

I felt like such a loser and moron yesterday when I discovered that I left my identity card at the Library in the loan machine after borrowing some PKD books mentioned in the previous blogs. The real tragedy was that I realised the card was missing only after the library sent a letter to inform me that they had found it.

Sleep Paralysis

I suffered from the worst instance of sleep paralysis yesterday evening while waking up from a horrifying dream.

I’ve forgotten most of the details of that dream, other than its setting which looked like a future (I shan’t say “the”): flying vehicles circling round a reddish planet (possibly Mars?); surreal food canteens invaded by a rust-coloured fog. The dream also involved some grotesque murders that took place chain-letter style. Something to the likes of “if I don’t do this to you I will be killed”. During the most terrible part of the dream, I suddenly woke up. But I didn’t wake to the warm sunlight drenched room I was familiar with. It was the void that I had visited only several times in my life.

For those moments, the only thing that existed in that darkness was my mind which was desperately telling myself not to panic. Sleep paralysis was something I had experienced several times from the year that I entered college till now.

Mango cravings

I bought this Mango gown (see below) that I shouldn’t have. It cost close to a hundred bucks (Singapore dollars, thankfully)… I had been eying that one for a while and I should have waited for the sale. Blame my impulse on my brain which was desperately trying to make excuses. Nevertheless, I think it’s gorgeous.
