More XEDO ammunition

P.S. I really did like Love Hina a lot, still remember the evening Ketsugi and our group of friends had the Love Hina marathon (FWIW, it’s ODEX discs) at my place, didn’t sleep till we concussed from exhaustion. :)

Pseudo blogger

I guess it’s not hard to figure out that my ‘blogger’ status is more of a semi-hobby than a passion :p The truth is ever since I graduated from university in Singapore the desire to pen my feelings doesn’t come as naturally anymore. Even though I set up this pretty nice-looking (I hope!) blog, frankly I’m more interested in the design and implementation (Drupal) of it rather than the actual content. I could spend hours tweaking this functionality and adding this plugin and that but frankly the actual usage doesn’t justify the effort taken to implement. ^^

Nevertheless, I think the start of my Masters course in Sydney should warrant at least a couple of posts so here I am, more than a month since I reached here. To be fair to myself, I didn’t actually get internet connection till the end of last month (thanks Telstra, geez)..

アニメの追跡

長い間見ていなかったアニメを一気に見るのはやっぱ素晴らしい！ブリーチアニメのオリジナルストーリー「バウント篇」は結構面白いと思う。今は第87話を見てるところで、漫画に戻るのはまだ約23話の残りになる。楽しみにしてます！

End of the fillers

Naruto’s finally returned from filler hell!! I just watched the one hour special opening (comprising of two episodes because each episode is normally half an hour) of the new series, 疾風伝, which starts off rather nicely with a premonition of what’s to come. I wish the episode weren’t interrupted with so many omakes, but I guess the producers had to extend the episodes to fill up the TV timeslot. 仕方がないな。

Speaking of which, Bleach has also returned to the manga plotline some weeks ago. Now I’ve only watched a couple of them Bleach fillers which aren’t so bad, and I guess I have to watch them eventually to catch up with the new arc because the writers seem to have integrated some elements of the fillers into it. Now I’m wondering if I should bother catching up with the mangas at all.

Tales from Earthsea 「ゲド戦記」 Anime Preview

Is it an understatement to say I’m looking forward to this film?

FYI, the American TV movie was such a disaster I couldn’t get past 20mins of it.

I’m of the opinion that most fantasy novel adaptations, especially narrative kinds, should be left to the hands of the Japanese to be animated :-) That is not to say I didn’t love Lord of the Rings — that was an anormaly (plus Gandalf wouldn’t be Gandalf if he wasn’t speaking in English).
