Rockin' good 60s music that make me feel good

Felt in the music mood today so am re-living some of my favourite live 60s songs (not that I was born in the 60s though).

Woodstock (Live version) by Joni Mitchell
One of my all time favourite songs.

The Times They Are A-Changin (Live version) by Bob Dylan
Was reminded of this song when I watched Watchmen. Classic Dylan is so “in” this year with Battlestar Galactica and Watchmen.

The Star Spangled Banner (Woodstock version) by Jimi Hendrix
Hearing this makes me wish I could have been there at Woodstock 50 years ago

Sympathy for the Devil by The Rolling Sones
This video is kinda cheesy and feels right at home in 60s and you can see Lennon rocking out right at the end. It must have pissed off nearly the whole Christian population though.

Dazed and Confused (Denmark 1969) by Led Zeppelin
And being the huge (once hard-core) Led Zeppelin fan, here’s a mandatory video. It’s not my favourite version of D&C because I’m so much more in love with their 70s experimental approaches. Still it’s an awesome video that gives you a glimpse of early LZ in one of their rare TV appearances.

Click here for a more far-out experimental 60s LZ with one of my favourite covers of As Long as I Have You.
