久しぶりの日本語ブログ

久しぶりに日本語でブログを書くのは確かに微妙です。
日本語能力は段々下手になってしまう気がします。（いや、事実です。）本当に残念。
（日本語の上手なあなた方が私を許してくれますか？）

先月、時間がいっぱいあるのはわかっていても、勉強せず、うちにごろごろして、怠けた生活を送ってしまいました。
それでも、楽しかった。
貧乏でも、よかった。
このまま楽な生活が続けられるといいなと思っていました。

でも、現実は厳しいです。
今の世界では、
仕事がないと金がない。
金がないと人は困る。
気の毒なことに、仕事があると自由はなくなる。

金は自由の天敵です。

先週、やっと新しい仕事を見つけた。
今週の月曜にスタートして、息が付けないくらい忙しい毎日。
この仕事が好きじゃないわけじゃない。
ていうか、楽しい部分はあることは否定できない。

でもペースはちょっと速すぎるとお思う。もう少しゆっくりできるといいな。

文句はこれまでです。

仕事を受けるのは自分の選択ので、自分の人生に責任を持って生きるべきです。

人生は長い。これを考えるとちょっと怖い…

Arrival of first book from The Book Depository!

About nearly two weeks ago, after having found out about The Book Depository’s free worldwide shipping and handling, I immediately placed an order for Jay Rubin’s* Making Sense of Japanese (ISBN-13 9784770028020) book that I so really wanted, yet would cost so much if ordered from Amazon. I paid only £5.98 in total!! Such a steal ^_^. Anyway the book arrived and I must say I’m not disappointed at all. (Actually I already read quite a number of pages from this book via Amazon before getting the book so there’s no way I would have been disappointed)

2007年6月の決意

2ヶ月まえ日本語クラスをやめてからずっと勉強を怠けてしまった。とても残念なことだった。

そんな何もしない態度を続けてはいけないと思って、三日前、私は決心した。少なくとも毎週1時間や2時間の真剣な自習をした方が良いかも。最近日本語で書いてある本を読んだ数が増えてきたが、漢字に依頼しすぎたせいか、動詞や音の読み方などは全く覚えようともしなかった。こんな真似をするのは本当にヤバイな。

今年JLPT１を受けるつもりはないが、1年前日本で買ったJLPT１の完全マスター漢字本は学習にとっていい材料だと思って、二日前の水曜日は通勤時間を利用して少し動詞の勉強をした。進歩は大したことじゃないが、以前の中途半端な学び方よりずっとましでしょ。＾＾；

I’ve been hearing this phrase, 蛇の道は蛇, several times so I decided to work my lazy ass and find out what it actually means. In the end, I got led to this pretty neat Japanese idiom website: ことわざの参考書. Will slowly work my way through the site. Japanese idioms are really cool. There were a couple of nice ones used in 彩雲国物語アニメ, which I’ve unfortunately cleanly forgotten. Time to work my brain!

語学の紹介

先日スラッシュドットに面白い記事が書かれてある。その記事によると、アメリカの有名な大学MITが色んな教材を公開してくれた。そのプロジェクトはMITOpenCourseWareと呼ぶ。

これはいいなと思って、MITウェブサイトのリンクをクリックして、日本語についての教材を参照して見た。アドバンス日本語の資料を読めば、読むほど面白くなりそうな気がする。読み物ばかりではなく、mp3や、ビデオクリップも収集している。もっと大切なのは、全部無料で、誰でもその教材を参照できる。本当に新鮮な感じ！日本語が上手になるには、努力や、興味が必要となる。もっと読むこと、もっとアニメ、ドラマを見ること。勉強の機会を見つけ、勉強し、いつか上手になるはずだ。

Express Queues?

Something I’ve been seeing at the Isetan supermarket every Wednesday when I go for my regular Japanese class: whenever customers with 1-2 items make their way to the payment counters, they seem to immediately head towards the only express counter in the supermart, despite the obviously long queue, even though the regular payment counters are free. This is a society where we’re so anal about ‘obeying’ signs that we don’t seem to use our eyes and heads to judge anymore.

“Watashi wa omoide ni wa naranai sa”…ends 3 of the trailers in Final Fantasy Advent Children, Squaresoft’s attempt at mythologising the iconic villain Sephiroth. カッコいい‼

Other favourite one-liners:

And as recommended by 傑義, I just watched the FF7 opening remake that was created specially for the PS3 technology demo. Pretty cool, seeing how much technology has evolved over the past 8 years. Before I saw the demo, I actually saw the screenshots, thinking that they were screenshots of the movie, except they seemed a little pixellated. I thought, maybe they were production screenshots or something… Wow.
