Skimpy bikini
Well, today wasn’t bad at all! I had 2 hours of class in the morning, but they were pretty easy to handle. I’m somewhat physically tired from swimming/shopping on Saturday, then yoga on Sunday, but I’m tired, to put it crudely, in a ‘happy’ way. I guess it’s because the mid-term break’s next week so there’s a holiday atmosphere that’s developing.
As I mentioned earlier, I went shopping on Saturday. And guess what? I bought my first (errrm) skimpy bikini. All thanks (or perhaps, no thanks?) my very persuasive best friend. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned in any of my earlier journal entries: recently I’ve been splurging on swimming costumes since I’ve recently re-picked-up the habit of swimming. So it’s more than a good thing to have at least 2 sets just in case I wish to swim on consecutive days. But this is my fourth swimming costume in 2 months! The first one was a rather decent bandeau bikini (that I haven’t worn yet), and I got it cheap, cheap. $16 for a set. The second and third sets were tankinis (and they’re looong) that I bought for swimming at the pool. Now this one’s a pink/white flora ‘triangle’ piece set that borders on the indecent (in my normally conservative opinion). My best friend bought a identically-cut blue flora set. We’re going to wear that to Sentosa during our term break.
So because of that, for this week, I’m trying to get onto a strict grains and cereal diet, because frankly, I’m probably a little obese for a bikini like that lol. I don’t intend it to be one of those starve-diets because firstly, it’s stupid to starve myself simply because I’m going to the beach for a day. Secondly, I hate feeling hungry. And thirdly, crash diets don’t work most of the time. Usually, you just lose water and you find yourself getting bloated up because your body’s trying to retain water in order to maintain the body’s water content… Errr, that’s my logic anyway…So just a healthy one. No unnecessary snacking, just 3 main meals, and small snacks to keep the body suger level at a normal level.
Last night, my parents came back from Bali. They tricked the rest of my family. They were supposed to be back today, but they managed to catch an earlier flight. When they were in the taxi on the way home, they called me and pretended that they were still in Bali. I had such a surprise when I saw the taxi arriving at the gates of my house and they emerging from it. Well as for presents? I received this cute little wooden piglet - a home deco item. My sister and brother received one each too. The Three Little Pigs I guess. And my favourite gift? A gorgeous long Balinese lace skirt. It was size S but it was a European cut so it fitted perfectly. It looks right for either formal wear or casual wear.
