Will the surprises never cease?
This is one of the funniest sh*t I’ve ever read…
Q: What are the procedures to renew my membership if it is expiring soon?
A: You have to maintain sufficient fund (sic) in your XXXX account. The system will deduct the renewal fee from your account and renew your membership automatically on the date of expiry.Q: How much is the renewal fee?
A: The renewal fee for A and B is $42.00 (inclusive of [tax]) and $21.00 (inclusive of [tax]) respectively.Q: What should I do if my membership has expired?
A: You will have to come down personally to XXXX to appeal to our Customer Service Officer for late renewal. All renewal is subjected to approval. An administrative fee for late renewal will be imposedQ: What will happen to the balance fund in my expired account if I do not have sufficient fund for renewal?
A: A monthly maintenance fee will be imposed and deducted from your XXXX account after your membership has expired.
@%%*!?@!!!????? I’m not in understanding of this…
- The system deducts your $$ without giving you the option to opt out (FYI, once funds are inside your account, you can’t remove them unless you terminate your account. It doesn’t matter if you have 100 bucks or 10000 bucks)
- I think it’s fair enough that they charge an admin fee for people who missed their payment deadlines, however they continue to charge a fee for maintaining your money which is rightfully yours? I’m guessing that in order to stop them from taking your money on a monthly basis, you have to go down personally to terminate your account, which is different from the so-called ‘membership’. Why should there be this distinction?
- Based on point 2, in the case that I let my membership lapse and want to renew it, I not only have to pay a renewal admin charge but also pay them for keeping my money safe? I think I get paid for that in banks, thank you very much.
The sad reality is that I’m in their mercy because I’ve got driving exams in 2 weeks registered on that account so I don’t really know how terminating my account would affect that exam. I guess I’ll have to wait till tomorrow to find out. This is so frustrating. One of the things I hate about this stupid monopoly/oliopoly, whatever!
